Then hook up the card to services like Square, Venmo, and for PayPal, etc. This way people can send you money digitally and you don’t have to worry about constantly running out to get the cash from a physical location.
This is also a good idea because it will give you the ability to continue paying your bills while you wait for your financial situation to get ironed out. You won’t have to worry about utilities being shut off, etc. And it can reduce some of the stress that people feel when they are carrying cash on their person.
